Anxiety
(CBT) – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors.
(ACT) – Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to build psychological flexibility and learn to respond to difficult thoughts without letting them control your life.
Mindfulness – Develop present-moment awareness to reduce stress, worry, and emotional reactivity.
Somatic Therapies – Regulate the nervous system by addressing the physical effects of anxiety, helping your body feel calmer, safer, and more balanced.
At Avision Therapy, we believe lasting change comes from addressing both your thoughts and your nervous system to help reduce emotional distress, regulate the body’s stress response, and increase psychological flexibility.
Our goal is to help you feel calmer, more resilient, and better equipped to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
Anxiety
Anxiety is more than occasional stress or worry. It can feel like your mind is constantly preparing for something to go wrong, making it difficult to relax, focus, sleep, or enjoy everyday life. While anxiety is a natural response to stress, it becomes a concern when it begins to interfere with work, school, relationships, or daily routines.
You may experience anxiety as racing thoughts, excessive worry, difficulty concentrating, irritability, muscle tension, restlessness, or physical symptoms such as a rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, dizziness, or stomach discomfort. Some people avoid situations that trigger anxiety, while others push through the discomfort but feel emotionally exhausted afterward.
At Avision Therapy, we provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can better understand your anxiety and develop effective ways to manage it. We use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and somatic therapies to help regulate the nervous system and reduce the physical impact of stress and anxiety. Treatment focuses on identifying unhelpful thought patterns, increasing psychological flexibility, strengthening coping skills, and helping your mind and body feel safer and more balanced.
Our goal is not to eliminate all anxiety, but to help you build a different relationship with it. By learning to respond to anxious thoughts and physical sensations with greater awareness and confidence, you can regain a sense of control, improve emotional resilience, and engage more fully in the life that matters most to you.
You deserve to feel confident, connected, and emotionally well.
